Is there a better place to spend a Chicago summer evening than on the lakefront? Maybe, but we don’t know what that is!
This summer Bernard Movers, your trusted Chicago moving company, is sponsoring the Tropical Addiction concert series at Montrose Harbor. We believe in community support and highlighting the talents of locals as well as small business—and we also believe in the beach.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, The Dock at Montrose Harbor will feature new acts and genres of music and expression for you to experience. Montrose Harbor is located on the northern edge of Lincoln Park at 601 W. Montrose Drive and features one of the most relaxing environments in the city. With the sunset to the west and the lake to the east, there are few better places to enjoy music in the evening. Montrose Beach is also a great place to play volleyball in the sand or get on your boat.
The Tropical Addiction Series is the ultimate event for your summer days to laze and discover new music. Starting at 5 pm, each night is dedicated to different genres of music to brighten up your summer evening including Jazz (Monday), Culture Reggae (Wednesday) and World Dance and Folk (Thursday). We were there for the kick off of Reggae Wednesdays on May 29 and we got some shots of the great time we had there. Our host, Art Bailey, mesmerized the group with a laid back attitude and funny quips as he came in to introduce acts. Bands Rebelu, Selecta Tomas and headliner, Lion Heights, brought energy to the crowd.
Join us next time! Bernard Movers will be there every Wednesday to jam on and get you more info on our moving season.
